Robugtix's $1350 T8 is a wirelessly controlled bio-inspired octopod
robot made with high-resolution 3D printed parts. It uses a total of 26
motors--three in each leg and two in the abdomen--to simulate lifelike
movement, including translation across three axes. According to
Robugtix, its legs' synchronized motions are calculated in real-time
using the company's "Bigfoot Kinematics" engine. Great, now we're going
to have to differentiate between arachnophobia and techno-arachnophobia.
